Concordia Foundation

Driven by the realisation that young professional artists need to be encouraged and supported, Gillian Humphreys, founder and artistic director of the Concordia Foundation, has guided and inspired thousands of talented young singers, instrumentalists and visual artists at the start of their professional careers. The charity was established out of her real concern to build bridges through music and the arts and to provide much needed concert platforms for emerging young artists. Her resources may be modest, but her achievements in UK and abroad are enormous.

Founder and artistic director, Gilliam Humphreys says “During our 15th Anniversary year Jo worked closely with us in developing our media strategy at the time of our Gala Concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in 2010. The concert was a sell-out experience for our 120 young artists taking part. During the year we worked with Concordia Young Audiences projects in schools and Jo, with her sensitive media skills, great patience and diligence, created a successful image for Concordia so that we could go forward with confidence and vision.”
